Why you should spend the money on training
Most people will not bat an eye at spending $600 on another gun but would scoff at spending $200 on training.
Here’s what you get for that $200:
• Knowledge that you can never have stolen, will never break and can be passed on to as many people as you want for the rest of your life.
• Experience that you can use with every firearm that you own or will own, not just one.
• Training that may save your life or the lives of others.
• Develop the correct habits and eliminate the bad ones.
• Find out if you have problems with your equipment before you get into a life or death situation.
The next time you hesitate when considering paying for training keep in mind that defensive training is like getting the answers to the test before you take it. Being able to shoot straight is a tiny fraction of what you need to know in a defensive situation. Can you draw properly, re-holster, clear malfunctions, reload quickly, move and shoot, use cover, communicate, and identify threats? If the answer to any of these is “no” or “I don’t know”, please consider getting some training. It doesn’t have to be with me but with someone who is qualified and trustworthy.
